1. Who are Bryon and Mark?
Bryon and Mark are 16 year old boys who live to have fun and are considered brothers because Mark's parents commited suicide when he was very young so Bryon's mom let him live with them.

2. Who are the two young people Bryon meets at the hospital?
Bryon meets Cathy and Mike Chambers at the hospital.

3. What kind of relationship does Bryon have with Charlie?
I would consider Bryon and Charlie close friends because even though Bryon is underage he is allowed into Charlie's bar and play pool.

4. What happens at the dance?
At the dance Mark and Ponyboy get into a fight and Mark get hit over the head with a glass bottle. He ends up going to the hospital.

5. What does Bryon begin to discover in his private conversations with Mark?
Bryon begins to realize that Mark and him are changing and growing futher apart.

6. What happened to Charlie? How do Bryon and Mark feel about it?
Charlie get shot protecting Bryon and Mark from the people they hustled out of a pool game. Bryon and Mark feel very sad and guilty about the whole thing.

7. What do Mark and Cathy think of each other?
Mark and Cathy both do not like each other because of their personalities.

8. What does Mark do to Angel? Why?
Mark shaves Angel's head because Angel hired the boy, who started the fight with Ponyboy and Mark at the dance.

9. In chapter seven, what does Bryon begin to discover about his good friend Mark?
Bryon begins to discover that Mark likes to do his own thing and he only thinks in the present.

10. What happens to Bryon at Terry Jones' house? How does his attitude change?
At Terry Jones' house Bryon get beat up by the Shepards and his attitude changes because unlike most people he doesnt wish to get revenge on the Shepards.

11. In chapter nine, what happens to M&M? Why does this move Bryon?
In chapter nine M&M is found in a hippie house and is talking nonsense because he did drugs. Bryon is moved because M&M is Cathy's brother and he feels kinda responcible for it.

12. What shocking discovery does Bryon make in Mark's bedroom? What does he do?
Bryon looks under Mark's matress and finds drugs that he has been selling to make money and then Bryon calls the police.

13. How does Bryon's relationship with his friends and his attitude toward life completely change?
Bryon stops hanging out with his friends and i believe his attitude changes because he starts to care less and less about everything.

14. How does Bryon feel at the end of the book?
Bryon stops caring about people and about mostly everything.

15. What do you think about this book and what life message does it teach?
I think this book is one of the greatest books i have ever read. I believe it teaches the life message of you might grow away from your friends and you might not but you will always make new friends.
